Challenge coins have always represented more than recognition. Within military and veteran communities, they symbolize shared service, commitment, and the enduring bond between those who serve and the communities they support.
For organizations like the Marine Corps League, coins also help carry forward an important mission and continuing service long after active duty ends.
We’re honored to share this message from George Sidler, Commandant of the Heart of Florida Marine Corps League Detachment-1107.
Customer Testimonial
“As many are aware, the Marine Corps League is made up of retired, active duty, and veteran U.S. Marines, along with U.S. Navy personnel who earned the Fleet Marine Force designation, Associate members, and Marine Corps League Auxiliary members.
This all-volunteer organization supports Marines and FMF brothers and sisters, hospitalized veterans, children’s hospitals, service dog programs, and local communities nationwide. Through programs such as Toys for Tots, Young Marines, JROTC support, scholarships, Veterans Service Officer assistance, and the Military Order of the Devil Dogs, our members work to strengthen communities and provide meaningful support where it’s needed most.
All of these efforts are funded entirely through volunteer fundraising — community donations, local events, raffles, and outreach programs.
To help support these missions, we created challenge coins that reflect the work our members do every day. These coins are funded by our members themselves, and even a small return helps us continue giving back to veterans, families in need, and children who could use a reminder that someone cares.
My name is George Sidler, Commandant of the Heart of Florida Marine Corps League Detachment-1107 in Winter Haven, Florida. While our reach continues to grow, our purpose remains simple: service to others. For many of us, that sense of duty never ends — it’s simply part of who we are.
Thank you for supporting our lifelong mission.”
